YMCA Expanding Summer Program Offerings

Serving the communities in the Robinson and Rayford Road Corridor


The South Montgomery County YMCA is expanding its summer program offerings to better serve the families living in the Robison Road and Rayford Road corridor.

The Y has partnered with the City of Oak Ridge North and will be offering Y Swim Lessons and Stroke Development Clinics at the Oak Ridge North City Pool on Hillside Drive. For more information call 281.367.9622.

  • Swim Lessons: Two week swim lessons begin June 17 for ages 3 – 12. Classes will meet for 30 minutes, Tuesday – Friday, beginning at 5:15pm. Pre-registration is required.
  • Stroke Development Clinics: Two week sessions begin June 17 for ages 6 – 14. These clinics are for students who have basic swim skills but wish to improve or perfect their technique in the 4 basic strokes.

New this summer is a Y Summer Day Camp program for ages 6 – 12 which will be held at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Hanna Road! Activities will include weekly field trips, weekly devotionals, science enrichment, sports, swimming, arts & crafts, songs and skits and much more. Weekly sessions will be offered June 9 – August 22. The YMCA also offers the Y After School Care Program at all Conroe ISD elementary and flex schools serving the Oak Ridge High School Feeder Zone. To reserve your child’s spot for next school year, register now at All you have to pay is the $25 registration fee. Scheduled payments for the program will begin in August. Many of the school sites fill up prior to the first day of school, so everyone is encouraged to register early.
