OAK RIDGE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GETS A VISIT FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

MARCH 26, 2015 – The students in Oak Ridge Christian Academy’s Early Learning Academy got a surprise visit from the South County Fire Department as part of their transportation unit this week.
“The children have been learning all week about different kinds of transportation – and how they are used in our everyday lives. Everything from semi-trucks to fire trucks to airplanes,” said headmaster Jess Larson. “And, the South County Fire Department was nice enough to visit our campus so the kids could actually see and touch what they have been learning about. It is one thing to learn about a fire truck in a book but entirely different to see and touch it in person. This was a fantastic opportunity for our early learners and one that they will never forget! This is just one more amazing thing that our wonderful fire fighters do for our community.”
Oak Ridge Christian Academy is a Christian classical school known for producing students of spiritual and academic excellence. The Academy seeks to partner with Christian parents to cultivate students to grow in wisdom and godliness, all to the glory of God. Registration for the fall is now in progress for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade and the Early Learning Program (1-3 year olds).
