The South Montgomery County YMCA invites the community to their annual New Year’s Day Resolution Workout on January 1st, 9:30am – 11am at the Branch Crossing YMCA, 8100 Ashlane Way in The Woodlands.  This special holiday class is always full of surprises. Participants can choose between a 90 minute indoor cycling ride or a 90  minute mega workout which will include Zumba, BodyCOMBAT and BodyFLOW. There will also be   refreshments and door prizes. Child Watch will be available, 9am – 11:30am.  All participants must pre-register but YMCA membership is not required. The annual Partners Campaign helps children and families all year long participate in YMCA values-based programs regardless of their ability to pay.

In addition to the Resolution Workout, the Shadowbend YMCA and the BranchCrossingYMCAWellnessCenters will be open on New Years Day, 8am – 1pm to the public. Begin the New Year with a healthy start. For more information please call 281.367.YMCA.

The YMCA is about more than just fitness; the YMCA is Where You Belong!  “Participation in YMCA health and wellness programs offers opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, self-confidence and improved intellectual abilities,” said Roxanne Davis, Community Liaison. “And of course, being healthy means the opportunity to strengthen your heart, lungs, bones and muscles, too.  But at the YMCA, health and wellness is an historic, integral part of the YMCA mission — of building the complete individual.”  Physical activity is viewed by the YMCA as a way to develop character and to encourage well-rounded lives.  The YMCA is about more than improving the way people look; the YMCA helps people develop into whole and complete human beings.

To register for the Resolution Workout or pick up more information on YMCA Healthy Living programs for you and your family, please stop by any of the YMCA locations in The Woodlands:  6145 Shadowbend Place, 8100 Ashlane Way and 6464 Creekside Forest Drive.  Additional information is available at www.ymcahouston.org/south-montgomery-county.
