LIGHTING OF THE DOVES & INTERNATIONAL WINTER ON THE WATERWAY (iWOW) FESTIVALS RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2014 DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

THE WOODLANDS, TX (November 21, 2014) – The 32nd Annual Lighting of the Doves and 8th Annual International Winter on The Waterway (iWOW) has been postponed from Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Town Green Park and The Woodlands Waterway to Sunday, November 23, 2014 due to the highest probability by the National Weather Service calling for up to 60 mph winds, inch-size hail and possible tornadoes.  The event will begin at 5 p.m. and Santa is expected to arrive at his customary time around 7 p.m.

The free events in Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, and along The Woodlands Waterway® will feature live music, the popular snow play area with Santa’s arrival, sponsored by Talisman Energy, aboard a decorated sleigh on The Woodlands Waterway.

After making his way to the stage at 7 p.m., Santa will lead the crowd in a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” followed by a flip of the switch to magically light the doves and ignite an awe-inspiring display of fireworks, presented by Strike, and lights kicking off the holiday season.
