Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy Celebrates First Graduating Class

Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy celebrated the graduation of its first senior class on Friday, May 23, 2014. The graduation ceremony was held at the school’s new campus on Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands. This memorable event recognized the graduation of five outstanding senior students.

Founded in 2005, Legacy Prep is comprised of grades pre-kindergarten through 12th. The school prepares students to be successful in college and life by providing a rigorous academic background that is rich in opportunities. Legacy Prep is a Christ-centered, university style school that creates college-worthy, character witnesses for Christ.
“Upon beginning my journey with Legacy Prep nearly ten years ago, I am not sure I was able to fathom then that students would graduate from these halls. If I could have hand-picked the first five graduates, I would have chosen the five that walked across this stage tonight,” said Audra May, Legacy Prep Head Administrator. “While they may be small in number, they are mighty in their faith and are the epitome
of our motto, ‘Here am I. Send Me!’ What an honor it has been to see how God has blessed the efforts of so many with these precious but special few.”
The evening included a graduation ceremony with a valedictorian speech by Katherine Beeman. A reception followed at the school to celebrate with family, school staff, faculty, and friends. The graduates received several offers to colleges and universities and were able to choose the higher learning option of their choice.
“We are overwhelmed with pride and joy as Legacy Prep has the honor and privilege to graduate its first senior class,” stated Mike Schardt, Chairman of the Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy Board. “While this has been a year of several firsts for Legacy Prep, nothing is more significant than sending off our first graduating class. We rejoice and celebrate in this milestone with these remarkable young men and women.”
According to Katherine Beeman, Legacy Prep Valedictorian, “Legacy Prep has prepared me for college and for life. My teachers have been true mentors and helped me succeed. I am ready to go to college and be bold in my faith and confident in what I have learned during my time at Legacy.”
With enrollment and interest in Legacy Prep continuing to grow, the school is excited to begin its 10th year in the fall.
