Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy Celebrates Ribbon Cutting

Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new location on March 26, 2014. The school partnered with Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce to mark this special event. Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy Board of Directors, First Bank representatives, and key community members were on hand to celebrate. Several area politicians were also in attendance including Mark Keough, Steve Toth, Charlie Riley, and Craig Doyal.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests were invited to tour the new school. Refreshments were kindly donated by Chick-fil-A of Magnolia. Legacy Prep’s cheerleaders and praise bands performed, and special recognition was given to First Bank for their partnership with the school.

Founded in 2005, Legacy Prep is comprised of grades pre-kindergarten through 12th. The school’s new campus is located on a 25 acre site on the Research Forest expansion in The Woodlands, TX. The campus includes a main building of approximately 55,000 square feet with 24 classrooms, administrative and business offices, cafeteria and gym.

Legacy Prep prepares students to be successful in college and life by providing a rigorous academic background that is rich in opportunities. “We have a wonderful Christ-centered community at Legacy. Through our partnership with parents and the University-style schedule, we prepare students to be college-worthy, character witnesses for Christ,” explained Audra May, Legacy Head Administrator. “Our desire is for students to graduate from Legacy with a boldness that is demonstrated by our motto, ‘Here am I. Send me!’”

According to Wynn Dee Baker, First Bank Marketing Manager, “First Bank is honored to be the financial partner with Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy. We have been so impressed with the commitment and passion exhibited by Legacy Prep’s board and leadership, and have no doubt that the school will continue its phenomenal growth. As a community bank it is our hope that we continue to be an integral part of Legacy Prep and its future success.”

With enrollment and interest in Legacy continuing to grow, the new campus provides a wonderful atmosphere for learning, athletics, student activities and much more. Legacy Prep is excited to gain a permanent home in the community and looks forward to building strong relationships in the area.
