23rd Annual GE Run Thru the Woods Directed by the YMCA

Thanksgiving Charity Event is a Holiday Tradition

Sponsor Opportunities Available

A holiday tradition in The Woodlands Town Center, the annual GE Run Thru the Woods Directed by YMCA, is a race/walk designed for all ages and levels of fitness. This year marks the event’s 23rd year as one of Texas’ premier running and walking family events. The 2012 event is expected to draw well over 6500 participants, spectators, and volunteers to kick-off the Holiday Season, making this the largest Thanksgiving Day racing event in the Houston Region.  In addition to families coming from virtually every corner of the region, we also attract participants from almost 30 different states and countries.

According to Roxanne Davis, Race Director and YMCA Community Liaison, “Sponsor opportunities are still available at all levels! Proceeds from the GE Run Thru the Woods benefit Operation Graduation activities and ROTC programs at local high schools, children education outreach programs offered by the Cynthia Woods-Mitchell Pavilion, as well as the YMCA Outreach Programs.  It is a true gift when community non-profits and booster organizations can turn to our local leaders and partners for support of our missions. The financial success of the GE Run Thru the Woods is dependent on the generous support of community partners through sponsorships and in-kind services.  Our long term relationship with our corporate partners is a big reason that the GE Run Thru the Woods is identified as a premier regional running race, as well as being a great family activity drawing record numbers of participants each year. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to market your brand to 6000+ individuals and support local youth charities.” For more information on sponsor opportunities, please call Roxanne Davis, 281.681-6723 or
